Lot # 1647: High-Grade 1971 Topps Super Complete Set (63)

Presented is a complete 63-card 1971 Topps Super set, highlighted by many Hall of Famers and stars including Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, and Roberto Clemente. Condition is 79% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (including some bordering on Mint), 13% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 8% slightly lesser. We have selected three cards for grading and encapsulation by SGC. Keys: #20 Rose (Nr/Mt), 37 Clemente (NM+ 7.5), 38 Jackson (Nr/Mt), 44 Aaron (NM 7), and 56 Mays (NM 7). Because of their high-quality production values and scarcity relative to other Topps sets of the era, it is a little surprising that this issue has not received more attention from collectors, but this is primarily because for many years grading companies did not have holders for this large-format issue. This is no longer the case, and collectors can now build sets of these cards in graded form just like they've done for many years with standard-sized cards. A very attractive high-grade complete set with several notable highlights. Total: 63 cards.
