Crisp and clean near-complete set (minus one) of 1971 Topps set. At 752 cards, the largest set of Topps cards issued up to that time. Missing only #513 Ryan for completion. The black flush-to-the-border design of the 1971 Topps set makes this issue particularly challenging to collect in extremely high grade. Includes both variations of #619 Checklist. Condition is 52% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (mostly Nr/Mt) and 48% Ex to Ex-Mt (including 2% lesser, seven that measure small, and three with color added). Twenty-eight cards have been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA. Keys: #5 Munson (EX-MT 6), 20 Jackson (EX-MT 6), 26 Blyleven RC (NM 7), 100 Rose (Ex-Mt), 117 Simmons RC (Ex), 160 Seaver (Ex-Mt), 250 Bench (NM 7), 341 Garvey RC (Ex), 400 Aaron (NM 7), 525 Banks (Ex), 530 Yastrzemski (20/80 L/R, otherwise Ex-Mt), 550 Killebrew (Nr/Mt), 570 Palmer (NM-MT 8), 600 Mays (EX-MT 6), 625 Brock (Nr/Mt+), 630 Clemente (EX-MT 6), 640 F. Robinson (Ex-Mt), and 709 Baylor/Baker RC (Ex+). Twenty additional PSA-graded cards: NM-MT 8 (8 cards): #68, 94, 108, 224, 231, 448, 471, and 474. NM+ 7.5 (1 card): #611. NM 7 (9 cards): #8, 146 Houk MGR, 500, 551, 562, 610, 612, 665, and 692, EX-MT 6 (1 card): #549. EX 5 (1 card): #118. This is an extremely attractive near-complete set (minus one card) of this classic issue with several notable highlights! The total SMR value for just twenty-seven of the PSA-graded cards (not including the card graded EX 5 and factoring in the half grade at the lower whole-grade level) is $2,036. Total: 752 cards (near set of 751 plus one variation).
