Complete 48-card set of R168 M. P. & Co. "War Scenes" issued in 1942. The cards feature color drawings of various war scenes with a card title printed on front and a description of the scene on the reverse. Approximately 70% of the cards in this set have been trimmed along (or near) the perforated edges, rather than detached by hand. Without further respect to this characteristic or the neatness of the cuts, the condition is 35% Ex to Ex-Mt, 46% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 19% lesser. Compared to baseball cards of the era, these early nonsports cards, which are at least as scarce, represent a particularly outstanding value. Total: 48 cards.
