Lot # 2789: 1930s R72 Schutter-Johnson "I'm Going To Be" Near-Complete Set (24/25)

Near-complete set of twenty-four cards from the R72 "I'm Going To Be" series. Missing only legendary rarity #4 Strongman for completion. This popular set, issued with Schutter-Johnson candies during the 1930s, features colorfully illustrated professions on the front and brief descriptions of the jobs on the reverse. These cards were designed to plant seeds of future employment in the minds of young children and offered numerous suggestions ranging from practical (fireman and policeman) to ambitious (athlete and baseball player) to far-fetched (pirate). Condition is Vg to Vg-Ex overall, with a couple slightly higher and lower. Card #22 "Speed Cop" is graded PSA VG-EX 4. Total: 24 cards.
