Lot # 147: 1910 PC796 Sepia Postcards Tris Speaker SGC POOR 1

Very presentable example of one of Hall of Famer Tris Speaker's most striking and attractive cards, from the very rare and highly regarded PC796 Sepia postcard set issued in 1910. It is interesting to note that the image of Speaker used on this card is the same image used on the PC805 Novelty Cutlery postcard series. This has always been one of our favorite Tris Speaker cards. The offered card features a crisp and clear image of Speaker. The traditional postcard reverse displays writing and is postmarked (Dec 28, 1910). Graded POOR 1 by SGC, flaws include an ink stain in the top right and adhesive residue on the back due to the removal of the mailing sticker. This is a very pleasing sample of one of the most visually impressive and rarest of all Tris Speaker cards from the 1910 era.
