Presented is a complete 66-card set of 1966 Fleer "Three Stooges." "Three Stooges" is one of many sets Fleer produced based on television shows in the 1960s which decades later still captivate the attention of collectors. Fleer's "Three Stooges" sets are one of the most popular nonsport issues of the era. This set was issued when the Stooges' movie shorts were being introduced to a new generation of youngsters on television. The exposure revitalized their careers, giving them a second chance to entertain millions. This second shot of stardom was even greater than what they had experienced in the 1930s and 1940s, and ingrained the Stooges' comedy into American popular culture. Naturally, many products were produced to capitalize on this stardom, including this set of bubble-gum cards. Condition is 21% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt, 63% Vg-Ex to Ex, and 16% Gd to Vg. Included is a complete eight-card set of 1974 Parssine "Three Stooges" Vending Stickers which grade Nr/Mt, five Ex, and two Vg. A very attractive mid-grade collection of these popular non-sport issues. Total: 66 cards and 8 stickers.
