It seems only fitting that the "Fab Four" would be immortalized in their own card sets. When the Beatles stormed the shores of America, an uncontrollable appetite for Beatles-related products resulted, and Topps could barely keep up with the demand for new, exciting, and now classic Beatles trading cards. This collection includes the following six sets (six complete) of Beatles bubble-gum cards, all issued by Topps in 1964: 1-3) "Black & White" Series 1, 2, and 3 Complete Sets (165): Condition is 34% Ex to Ex-Mt (including 4% better), 55% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 11% lesser (mostly due to back damage). Series 1 consists of 43 blue backs and 17 green backs. Series 2 consists of all orange backs. 4) "Beatles Color Photos" Complete Set (64): Condition is 21% Nr/Mt or slightly better, 21% Ex-Mt, 50% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 8% Gd to Vg. 5) "Beatles A Hard Day’s Night" Complete Set (55): Condition is 27% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt and 73% Vg-Ex to Ex (including some due solely to centering and a couple lesser). 6) “Beatles Diary” Complete Set (60/60): Condition is 26% Nr/Mt (including some Nr/Mt-Mt), 23% Ex-Mt, 38% Vg-Ex to Ex, and 13% Gd to Vg (including one Fr and one miscut).
