When the Beatles arrived on the shores of America, an uncontrollable appetite for Beatles-related products resulted, and Topps could barely keep up with the demand for new, exciting, and now classic Beatles trading cards. This collection includes the following seven complete sets of Beatles cards, all issued by Topps in 1964: 1) "Black and White" First Series (60): 20% Ex and 80% Vg to Vg-Ex (including a few lesser). Includes four rarer green-back variations (#4, 9, 26, and 59). 2) "Black and White" Second Series (55): Vg to Vg-Ex overall, with a few Ex and a few lesser. Includes thirteen rarer green-back variations. 3) "Black and White" Third Series (50): 12% Ex and 88% Vg to Vg-Ex (including a couple lesser). 4) "Beatles Color Photos" (64): 21% Ex and 79% Vg to Vg-Ex (including a couple lesser and one with a slight trim). 5) "Beatles Diary" (60): 15% Ex and 85% Vg to Vg-Ex (including one Gd). 6) "Beatles A Hard Day's Night" (55): 28% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt, 59% Vg-Ex to Ex, and 13% Gd to Vg (including three lesser). 7) "Beatles A Hard Day's Night" (55): 43% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt (including a couple Nr/Mt-Mt) and 57% Vg-Ex to Ex. A very attractive and mostly mid-grade collection of nonsport cards featuring one of the most popular music groups of all time. Total: 399 cards representing seven complete sets.
