Description

Complete original unopened vending box of 1971 Topps baseball containing approximately 500 cards, from the third series (#264-393), which includes Hall of Famers Joe Morgan, Fergie Jenkins, Brooks Robinson, Don Sutton, Rollie Fingers, and Ted Williams, along with the rookie cards of star players George Foster and Steve Garvey. Any unopened material from 1971 Topps is extremely rare, and in our experience, it becomes available less than any other 1970s set. The black flush-to-the-border design of the 1971 Topps set makes this issue particularly challenging to collect in extremely high grade. While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, it is possible that this box includes Mint or Gem Mint cards. This box originates directly from the estate of the legendary Larry Fritsch. It comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material) and bears the certified designation as having originated from the "Fritsch Vault." This is a very impressive unopened vending box with superb provenance. It would be a worthy addition to even the most advanced collection of 1971 Topps or unopened material.
