Description

Rawlings right-handed fielder's glove, game-used by Bucky Dent during the 1974 season as a member of the Chicago White Sox. The glove, which displays outstanding game use, is constructed of Rawlings top-grade tanned steer hide bound with tanned rawhide laces and nylon stitches. The heel has been re-laced. Dent later signed the glove in black marker along the pinky sleeve. Dent's number "20" is written on the back of the glove at the base of the web. Accompanied by an LOA from Joe Sparks, who was Dent's minor league coach and served on Dent's 1990 coaching staff when he was the manager of the New York Yankees. Per Sparks, "Bucky used this glove during spring training and the first half of the 1977 season while breaking [in] his new glove." Full LOA from noted glove expert Dennis Esken of PSA/DNA. Full LOA from Steve Grad and Brian Sobrero/Beckett Authentication Services (signature only).
