Presented is an extremely scarce complete set of "Tootsie Circus" cards. Produced by the New York-based Sweets Company of America in 1933, this 25-card set features colorful illustrations of popular circus attractions on the card front with descriptions and a single line of advertising on the reverse. Condition is Ex-Mt, Ex, six Vg-Ex, ten Vg, four Gd, and three lesser (including one with erasure marks on the front, otherwise Vg+). Five cards have been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA: Freaks (POOR 1), The Acrobats (VG-EX 4), The Cossacks (GOOD 2), The Elephant (VG-EX 4), and The Giraffe (EX-MT 6). This is a very rarely offered complete set of this scarce 1930s nonsport issue and one that would be a welcome addition to even the most advanced collection. Total: 25 cards.
