Lot # 2862: 1930s R161 Anonymous "Walt Disney Comics" Complete Set (32)

Presented is a rarely offered complete 32-card set of R161 "Walt Disney Comics" issued in the 1930s. Included is one duplicate, an interesting factory misprint of "Minnie Mouse Takes a Trip." This anonymous strip-card series illustrates a Disney character playing a specific sport. The front of the cards have color artwork sketches with a caption below. The back of the cards are blank. Eight of the cards in this set have been trimmed through (or slightly inside) the perforations, rather than detached by hand. Without further reference to these hand cuts, the condition is 33% Ex to Ex-Mt (including a couple better), 48% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 19% lesser. A very attractive mixed-grade set of this classic 1930s nonsport issue. Total: 33 cards.
