Description

Presented is a very substantial collection of 1953 Topps "Fighting Marines," consisting of a complete 96-card set, a near-complete set (91/96), and 102 duplicates. This collection consists of the following: 1) Complete Set (96): 12% Ex-Mt, 65% Vg-Ex to Ex, and 23% Gd to Vg (including one miscut). 2) Near-Complete Set (91/96): 7% Ex-Mt, 50% Vg-Ex to Ex, 35% Gd to Vg, and 8% lesser. Missing the following five cards for completion: #39, 43, 74, 83, and 84. 3) Duplicates (102): 8% Ex, 41% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 51% lesser (including some due mostly to pencil marks on the reverse). This is a great medium- to lower-grade collection of popular military cards from the early 1950s. Total: 289 cards.
