Description

Program and ticket stub from an August 14, 1962, game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Los Angeles Dodgers at Forbes Field. In front of a sparse crowd of 2,121, the Pirates defeated the Dodgers 2-1. Roberto Clemente finished with two hits while Dodgers pitcher Johnny Podres hit his first career home run in the losing effort. The program (6.5 x 10 inches), which is not scored, displays a pair of punch holes along the left edge. The game's date is written in pencil on the front cover. Good condition overall. The ticket stub (1.25 x 2.25 inches) is stapled to the inside front cover. Fair condition overall. Additionally, several newspaper clippings from the game are affixed to the interior of the program.
