Offered is a rare and very interesting collection of 60 photographs featuring players from teams of the National League, all used in the production of the 1963 Post Cereal and Jell-O baseball cards. These photos were used as components of the art boards that were created during the production process. Each color-photo measures approximately 4 x 4.75 inches and has the player's name and team affiliation written on either the front or back. This collection consists of photographs from the following National League teams: Cincinnati Reds (9), Chicago Cubs (1, Santo), Houston Colt .45s (4), Los Angeles Dodgers (6, including Drysdale), Milwaukee Braves (7, including Mathews and Torre), New York Mets (7, including Ashburn and Hodges), Philadelphia Phillies (2), Pittsburgh Pirates (3), San Francisco Giants (12, including two Cepeda, Marichal, and Mays), and St. Louis Cardinals (9, including Flood and Gibson). The photos remain in Very Good to Excellent condition overall. This is an outstanding and unique collection that offers great insight into the production process for Post Cereal and Jell-O cards. It would be a significant addition to any original card-artwork or card-production collection. Total: 60 photos.
