New York Yankees ticket stub issued for Game 2 of the 1951 World Series against the New York Giants at Yankee Stadium on October 5th. Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. One of only four examples graded at this level, with none higher! Game 2 was memorable because it was the game where Mickey Mantle recorded his first World Series hit. The Yankees defeated the Giants 3-1 to tie the Series at a game apiece, largely due to a strong performance from starter Eddie Lopat. Mantle was injured during the fifth inning of the game and didn't return for the remainder of the series. The ticket stub (4-3/16 x 2-1/4 inches) has a small touch of paper loss on the right edge of the reverse.
