Offered is an extremely scarce magazine originating from Japan featuring Mickey Mantle on the cover. Issued during the New York Yankees "Tour of Japan" in 1955, the magazine has numerous other photos picturing both Mantle and other Yankees ballplayers, plus those of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig on the interior pages. This is just the third example of this scarce publication that we have offered in the past 20-plus years. The text of the extensive historical information is in Japanese. The display value of the cover makes this item especially appealing to Mickey Mantle collectors. The substantial soft-cover publication (8-1/4 x 11-5/8 inches) exhibits moderate handling wear, with creasing and a small edge tear visible along the front cover. The interior pages, minus a few minor flaws, present beautifully. Very Good condition overall.
