Description

Original news photo of Mickey Mantle as a member of the New York Yankees, dating from his historic 1956 Triple Crown season. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. This game-action shot captures Mantle in a swing-through pose. The reverse bears credit stamps for the "Cleveland News" and photographer William S. Nehez, an "Aug 7 1956" date stamp, and a typed caption. The photo (7-1/8 x 9 inches) displays light creasing and a few strips of discoloration on the reverse. Very Good to Excellent condition overall.
