Original news photo capturing Jackie Robinson crossing the plate during Game 2 of the 1949 World Series against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. Robinson, the 1949 National League MVP, scored Game 2's lone run in what proved to be Brooklyn's only win of the series. An "International News Photographs" credit stamp and original news caption appear on the reverse. The photo, trimmed to its current dimensions of 7-1/8 x 9 inches, displays scattered creasing and a small tear along the bottom border. Very Good condition overall.
