Vintage news photo featuring a rookie-era image of Joe DiMaggio as a member of the New York Yankees in 1936. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type II photo by PSA/DNA. DiMaggio is captured in a swing-through pose, wearing the No. 9 - a number he donned only during his rookie season before switching to his iconic No. 5 in 1937, which he wore the remainder of his career. The reverse features a "United Press International Photo" credit stamp, a few editorial notations, and evidence of album removal. The photo, which has been trimmed to its current dimensions of 7 x 9 inches, is in Very Good condition overall.
