Description

Circa 1880s carte-de-visite (CDV) photograph capturing "Buffalo Bill" Cody in his traditional Western wear. Cody is identified in the text below his image. Although his career took many turns, including soldier, trapper, hunter, Pony Express rider, and scout, his fame today is largely due to his famous Wild West show that he toured the country with during the late 1800s and early 1900s. The CDV (2.5 x 4 inches) displays a spot of paper loss along the bottom of the mount and is in Very Good condition overall.
