Lot # 2101: 1933 Larry Lajoie Signed "Who's Who in Baseball" Page - JSA

The 1933 hard-bound edition of Who's Who in Baseball, which features beautiful studio portraits and full-page biographies of every Major League player, has long been hailed as one of the most attractive baseball books ever produced. Autograph collectors in particular took a special liking to the book because the player pages were ideally suited for acquiring signatures. Offered is the result from one successful request by an early autograph collector: a signed example of Larry "Nap" Lajoie's page. Lajoie has signed the page in blue ink across his image. The date "9-2-54" is penned in Lajoie's hand below his signature. The page (8.5 x 11 inches) exhibits a few small edge tears and another on the bottom-left corner. Good condition overall.
