Ticket stub issued for Game 1 of the 1927 World Series between the New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Pirates held at Forbes Field on October 5th. Graded GOOD 2 by PSA. The Yankees, behind the pitching of Hall of Famer Waite Hoyt, defeated the Pirates 5-4 in Game 1. Considered by many to be the greatest team in baseball history, the Yankees swept the Pirates in the 1927 Fall Classic to win their first of two consecutive World Championships. The ticket stub (2-1/4 x 4-1/8 inches) has heavy creasing.
