Description

Ticket stub issued for Game 5 of the 1916 World Series between the Brooklyn Robins (Dodgers) and Boston Red Sox held at Braves Field on October 12. Graded FAIR 1.5 by PSA. This is only the second 1916 World Series Game 5 ticket stub we have offered in the past 22 years and one of only seven graded by PSA. The ticket reads "Game 3," but the number denotes the third game in Boston, not the third game of the Series. Boston won the clinching Game 5 by a score of 4-1 over Brooklyn in the World Series. The championship was Boston's second consecutive during a period when the club won four Series in a span of seven years (1912-1918). The ticket stub (1-3/8 x 3-3/8 inches) displays a few light creases and paper loss on the reverse from having once been mounted in an album.
