Scarce ticket stub issued for Game 4 of the 1915 World Series between the Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Phillies at Braves Field in Boston. (The Red Sox played at the newly built Braves Field in both the 1915 and 1916 World Series because it had a greater seating capacity than Fenway Park.) Graded VG 3 by PSA. This is one of only two 1915 World Series Game 4 ticket stubs graded at this level by PSA with just one higher. 1915 marked Babe Ruth's first appearance in the World Series, making all items relating to that year's fall classic particularly desirable. Ruth appeared in just one game against the Phillies (grounding out after pinch hitting for Ernie Shore in Game 1), but he was still awarded a full World Series check in the amount of $3,780.25 when the Red Sox defeated Philadelphia in five games. The ticket (1.5 x 2.5 inches) displays a crease and an irregular tear along the bottom.
