Ticket stub issued for Game 5 of the 1926 World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and New York Yankees held at Sportsman Park on October 7th. Tony Lazzeri drove in the game-winning run via a sacrifice fly in the 10th inning as the Yankees defeated the Cardinals 3-2. The Cardinals rallied, however, winning the next two games to clinch the club’s first World Championship in franchise history. The ticket stub (4-1/4 x 2-7/8 inches), issued for a “Lower Deck Res.” seat, is in Excellent condition overall.
