Description

Crisp and clean high-grade complete 1971 Topps set and, at 752 cards, the largest set of Topps cards issued up to that time. The black flush-to-the-border design of the 1971 Topps set makes this issue particularly challenging to collect in extremely high grade. Condition is 75% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt and 25% Ex to Ex-Mt (mostly Ex-Mt and including a few Vg-Ex and one with color added). Twenty cards have been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA (4) and SGC (16). Keys: #5 Munson (NM+ 86), 20 Jackson (NM/MT 8), 26 Blyleven RC (NM+ 86), 100 Rose (NM/MT 88), 117 Simmons RC (Ex-Mt), 160 Seaver (NM 84), 180 Kaline (NM 84), 210 Carew (PSA NM-MT 8), 230 Stargell (NM/MT+ 8.5), 250 Bench (Ex+), 300 B. Robinson (NM/MT+ 92), 325 Marichal (PSA NM-MT 8), 341 Garvey RC (NM/MT 88), 400 Aaron (NM/MT 88), 513 Ryan (NM/MT 88), 525 Banks (NM 84), 530 Yastrzemski (PSA NM-MT 8), 550 Killebrew (Ex-Mt), 570 Palmer (NM/MT 88), 600 Mays (NM/MT 88), 625 Brock (Ex), 630 Clemente (PSA NM 7), 640 F. Robinson (NM+ 86), and 709 Baylor/Baker RC (NM/MT 88). This is an extremely attractive complete set of this classic issue with several notable highlights! The equivalent SMR value for just the 20 graded cards (factoring in the three NM+ half grades at the lower whole-grade level) is $11,892. Total: 752 cards. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
