Description

Presented is a complete set of the 1962 Topps "Civil War News" series. Each card has multicolored artwork of a battle scene or historical event. The text on the reverse is designed in the style of a newspaper. The extraordinary artwork and accurate historical information presented on these cards have distinguished them as one of Topps' most ambitious projects. Condition is 37% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt, 42% Vg-Ex to Ex, and 21% Gd to Vg (including three lesser and a couple with a slight miscut). Keys: #1 The Angry Man (Fr-Gd) and 88 Checklist (marked in pen, otherwise Ex due to centering). This is a very attractive and mostly mid- to high-grade complete set of this very popular nonsport issue. Total: 88 cards.
