Presented is a complete 55-card set of 1963 Topps "Astronauts" trading cards plus an original 3-D viewer (Ex). Produced at the dawn of the space age, when every kid in America wanted to be an astronaut, this set of cards honoring those national heroes was Topps' response to this enthusiasm. The set features artworks based on NASA photographs of America's space explorers, their training exercises, and equipment. Includes one "Popsicle" back (#14). Condition is 45% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt and 55% Vg-Ex to Ex (including a few lesser). Key: #55 Checklist (slightly miscut left edge, otherwise Vg-Ex).
