Description

Graded GOOD 2 by PSA. This is the only example graded at this level by PSA with just one higher. Extremely desirable example of Al Simmons from the 1926 M101-7 Sporting News Supplements series. These large (7 x 10 inches) sepia-toned player photos were issued as a weekly supplement by The Sporting News. The premium is printed on thin stock and captures Simmons in a portrait pose. The fragile paper stock of this issue makes high-grade examples extremely rare, and flaws such as light wrinkling, creasing, or tearing "come with the territory." The offered example is bright and crisp with a flawless image. Downgraded due to light, unobtrusive creasing. A very attractive 1920s premium featuring this Philadelphia Athletics Hall of Famer.
