Graded GOOD 2 by PSA. One of only two examples graded at this level by PSA with none higher! Extremely desirable example of Rogers Hornsby from the 1926 M101-7 Sporting News Supplements series. These large (7 x 10 inches) sepia-toned player photos were issued as a weekly supplement by The Sporting News. The premium is printed on thin stock and depicts Hornsby standing at the edge of the dugout with his hands on his hip. The fragile paper stock of this issue makes high-grade examples extremely rare, and flaws such as light wrinkling, creasing, or tearing "come with the territory." The offered example is bright and crisp with a flawless image. Downgraded due to light, unobtrusive creasing. A very attractive 1920s premium featuring this popular Hall of Famer.
