Description

Graded VG 3 by PSA. Very attractive example of Ty Cobb with the Philadelphia Athletics. This classic Exhibit-style card was actually issued by a small competitor of the Exhibit Supply Company. The cards were issued two ways: with or without a normal postcard marks on the reverse. The offered example is the "postcard-format" variety. The postcard-format reverse includes the warning: “Not To be Used In Exhibit Machines.” The card is bright and crisp, front and back, with even wear on the corners, and a striking image. Light soiling is visible on the reverse. An outstanding mid-grade example of one of Cobb’s classic cards.
