Souvenir reprint full ticket (5-5/8 x 2 inches) for Game 1 of the 2020 World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Tampa Bay Rays on October 23rd. While a handful of original tickets are known to exist, they are incredibly rare. Souvenir reprint tickets (i.e., the offered example) were printed by the ballpark in the weeks following the World Series at the request of fans. The 2020 Major League Baseball season was abbreviated to just 60 regular-season games due to the COVID-19 pandemic. An expanded 16-team playoff was played at neutral-site ballparks before the season concluded with the World Series at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. This marked the first time since 1944, when the St. Louis Browns faced the St. Louis Cardinals at Sportsman's Park, that a World Series was played exclusively at a single ballpark. Due to the pandemic, only 11,500 fans (roughly 29% of ballpark capacity) were allowed per game. The Dodgers defeated the Rays 6-2 in Game 3, behind a strong start from Walker Buehler and home runs from Justin Turner and Austin Barnes. Near Mint to Mint condition overall.
