Presented is a very attractive collection of eighty-four (sixty-five different) 1977-1979 Sportscaster Hockey cards. The Sportscaster series was a massive multi-sport set consisting of more than 2,000 cards that measure 4 3/4" x 6 1/4." The cards were distributed approximately monthly in twenty-four-card series from 1977 to 1979 via mail subscription. Cards from the later series are much scarcer than the earlier series since many subscribers dropped out before finishing the set. This collection is highlighted by dozens of Hall of Famers, including a late series #77-10 Wayne Gretzky from his rookie year. Condition is 70% Nr/Mt or better, 14% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 16% Vg to Vg-Ex.
