Presented is an outstanding collection of six complete or near-complete sets of O-Pee-Chee hockey cards spanning the years 1974 to 1979. O-Pee-Chee cards were issued regionally only in Canada and are much rarer than their American counterparts. They are particularly rare to find in complete set form. This collection consists of the following: 1) 1974-1975 Complete Set (396): Condition is 11% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, 77% Ex to Ex-Mt (including some due solely to centering), and 12% Vg to Vg-Ex. Keys: #100 Orr (20/80 T/B, otherwise Ex-Mt), 130 Orr AS (Ex), 155 Dryden (Ex+), 161 Cherry RC (Ex+), 180 Salming RC (Ex), 168 McDonald RC (Ex), 195 Potvin RC (20/80 T/B, otherwise Nr/Mt+), 261 Bowman RC (Ex), 280 Robinson (Ex), and 316 Shutt RC (Ex due solely to centering). 2) 1975-1976 Complete Set (396): Condition is 35% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, 56% Ex to Ex-Mt (including some due solely to centering), and 9% Vg to Vg-Ex. Keys: #35 Dryden (Nr/Mt+), 100 Orr (Ex), 126 Lafleur (Ex-Mt), 199 Gillies RC (Ex), 267 Checklist/#221-330 (Ex due to centering), 267 Checklist/#331-396 (Ex), and 288 Orr AS (Ex-Mt+). 3) 1976-1977 Complete Set (396): Condition is 55% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, 35% Ex to Ex-Mt (including some due solely to centering), and 10% lesser (mostly due to miscut centering). Keys: #115 Trottier RC (tilt to picture, otherwise Nr/Mt), 200 Dryden (Ex+), 213 Orr (Nr/Mt+), and 373 Williams RC (Nr/Mt). 4) 1977-1978 Complete Set (396) Plus Two Glossy Insert Sets (44): Condition of the base set is 32% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, 61% Ex to Ex-Mt (including some due solely to centering), and 7% Vg to Vg-Ex. Condition of the round-cornered insert set ranges from Nr/Mt to Mint (averaging Nr/Mt-Mt), with one lesser. Condition of the square-cornered insert set is Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt overall, with a few slightly lesser. Keys: #100 Dryden (Ex due to centering), 200 Lafleur (Ex due to centering), 211 Palmateer RC (5/95 L/R, otherwise Ex), and 251 Orr (95/5 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt+). 5) 1978-1979 Complete Set (396): Condition is 38% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, 52% Ex to Ex-Mt (including some due solely to centering), and 10% Vg to Vg-Ex. Keys: #1 Bossy HL (100/0 L/R, otherwise Ex), 50 Dryden (Nr/Mt-Mt), 115 Bossy RC (Nr/Mt+), 143 Federko RC (Nr/Mt-Mt), 168 Wilson RC (Ex-Mt), 300 Orr (25/75 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt+), 312 Carlyle RC (Nr/Mt), and 353 Taylor RC (Ex-Mt). 6) 1979-1980 Near-Complete Set (395/396): Condition is 44% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt and 56% Ex to Ex-Mt (including 4% lesser). Missing only #18 Gretzky for completion. Keys: #175 Howe (Ex-Mt due to centering) and 185 Hull (20/80 T/B, otherwise Nr/Mt+).
