Outstanding trio of mostly high-grade sets (two complete and one partially complete) of 1970-1971 Topps and 1970-1971 O-Pee-Chee hockey cards and stickers. Though they do not have as many cards as the Topps baseball sets of the era and are not as valuable, these hockey sets are actually rarer than their baseball counterparts. Each set is loaded with all the great stars and Hall of Famers of the era, including Bobby Orr, Gordie Howe, Bobby Hull, Phil Esposito, and others. We have selected six cards for grading and encapsulation by SGC. This collection consists of the following: 1) 1970-1971 Topps Complete Set (132): 48% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt and 52% Ex to Ex-Mt (including a few slightly lesser and seven that measure small). Keys: #3 Orr (Ex due to centering), 11 Esposito (Ex), 15 Hull (Ex+), 20 Mikita (80/20 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt), 29 Howe (Nr/Mt), 55 Beliveau (Nr/Mt), 67 Park RC (85/15 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt-Mt), 131 Perreault RC (Ex-Mt), and 132 Checklist (Vg-Ex+). 2) 1970-1971 O-Pee-Chee Partial Set (132/264): Numbered 133 to 264. 75% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (including a few Mint) and 25% Ex to Ex-Mt (including a few slightly lesser). Missing the following 132 cards for completion: #1-132. Keys: #177 Lapointe RC (MINT 9), 195 Clarke RC (NM+ 7.5), 218 Sittler RC (NM+ 7.5), 231 Sawchuk Memorial (Nr/Mt-Mt), 235 Hull AS (NM/MT 8), 236 Orr AS (70/30 T/B, otherwise Nr/Mt-Mt+), 238 Howe AS (NM 7), 246 Orr Hart (Nr/Mt), 248 Orr Norris (Nr/Mt), 249 Orr Art Ross (Ex), 252 Orr Conn Smythe (Nr/Mt) and 254 Stanley Cup (Nr/Mt-Mt). 3) 1970-1971 Topps/O-Pee-Chee Sticker Stamps Complete Set (33): Condition ranges from Ex to Nr/Mt-Mt (averaging Ex-Mt), with some of the lesser grades due mostly to centering. Keys: Howe (Ex due to centering), Hull (Nr/Mt due to centering), and Orr (NM/MT 8). An extremely attractive collection from two classic 1970-1971 hockey series. Total: 297 cards.
