Complete set of 216 different cards from the 1968-1969 O-Pee-Chee hockey series plus a complete 22-card set of Puck Stickers inserts. The set is highlighted by many great stars of the era, including Hall of Famers Gordie Howe, Phil Esposito, and Bobby Orr. The condition of the base set is 26% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (approximately two-thirds Nr/Mt), 52% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 22% Vg to Vg-Ex (including 5% that measure a bit small). We have selected four cards for grading and encapsulation by SGC. Keys: #2 Orr (EX 5), 7 Esposito (10/90 T/B, otherwise Ex), 16 Hull (EX/NM 6), 29 Howe (Ex+), 34 Sawchuk (Vg-Ex), 61 Checklist (Vg+), 89 Parent RC (EX 5), 111 Hall (Ex), 121 Checklist (25/75 T/B, otherwise Nr/Mt+), 181 Plante (10/90 L/R, otherwise Ex), 200 Orr AS (Ex), 203 Howe AS (NM/MT 8), 204 Hull AS (Ex) and 214 Orr Norris Trophy (Vg-Ex+). The puck stickers set varies considerably in size (with many measuring small), a common characteristic for this set. Without further reference to card size, the condition ranges from Vg-Ex to Nr/Mt-Mt (averaging Ex/Ex-Mt). Keys: #3 Hull (Vg-Ex), 4 Orr (measures a bit small, otherwise Ex+), 5 Esposito (Ex), 20 Sawchuk (measures a bit small, otherwise Nr/Mt+), and 22 Howe 700th Goal (measures very small, otherwise Ex due to centering).
