Lot # 2707: High-Grade 1969-1970 Topps Hockey Complete Set (132) Plus O-Pee-Chee Second Series Complete Set (#133-231)

Presented is a very attractive and mostly high-grade collection of 1969-1970 hockey cards consisting of a complete 132-card set of Topps and a complete 99-card run of O-Pee-Chee Series 2 (#133-231). Hockey cards are much rarer than their baseball counterparts, and complete sets are offered with much less frequency as a result. We have selected six cards for grading and encapsulation by SGC. This collection consists of the following: 1) 1969-1970 Topps Complete Set (132): 45% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, 49% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 6% slightly lesser. Keys: #1 Worsley (Vg-Ex), 4 Savard RC (Ex due to centering), 24 Orr (NM 7), 30 P. Esposito (Ex-Mt+ due to centering), 61 Howe (EX/NM+ 6.5), 70 Hull (NM 7), 76 Mikita (Ex-Mt), and 132 Checklist (Ex). 2) 1969-1970 O-Pee-Chee Complete Series 2 Run (99 cards): 68% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (including some bordering on Mint) and 32% Ex to Ex-Mt (including some due solely to centering and a couple slightly lesser).
