Outstanding mid- to high-grade near-complete set of 131 different cards from the 1969-1970 Topps hockey series, missing only #132 Checklist for completion. Hockey cards are much rarer than their baseball counterparts, and complete sets are offered with much less frequency as a result. Condition is 11% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt (including a couple Nr/Mt-Mt), 72% Vg-Ex to Ex, and 17% slightly lesser (including one with a slight miscut). Five cards show the corresponding 1969-70 Topps All-Star stamp adhered over the stamp box on the reverse. Keys: #1 Worsley (Ex), 4 Savard RC (Ex), 24 Orr (100/0, T/B, otherwise Ex-Mt), 30 P. Esposito (75/25 T/B, otherwise Nr/Mt), 31 Sanderson (Nr/Mt-Mt), 61 Howe (Howe stamp on reverse, otherwise Ex-Mt), 70 Hull (Vg+), and 76 Mikita (Vg-Ex+). Very attractive near-complete set (minus one) of this classic late 1960s hockey issue, loaded with Hall of Famers and stars of the era. Total: 131 cards.
