Outstanding collection of seven mid- to high-grade complete and near-complete Topps hockey sets (missing just the Wayne Gretzky rookie for a complete set run) spanning the years 1973 to 1979. These sets are loaded with all the stars, Hall of Famers, and rookies of the era, including Ken Dryden, Bobby Orr, Bryan Trottier (rookie), Clark Gillies (rookie), and others. Included are four complete and near-complete insert sets. This collection consists of the following: 1) 1973-1974 Complete Set (198): Condition is 20% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, 42% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 38% lesser (ranging from Gd to Vg-Ex and including some due to miscut centering). Keys: #10 Dryden (Ex due to centering), 72 Lafleur (Ex-Mt+), 81 Barber RC (Nr/Mt-Mt+), 149 Schultz RC (Vg-Ex+), 150 Orr (Ex+ due to centering), and 162 Smith RC (Ex+). 2) 1974-1975 Complete Set (264) Plus Near-Complete Cloth Stickers Insert Set (22/24): Condition of the base set is 44% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, 46% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 10% Vg to Vg-Ex. Condition of the stickers ranges is Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt overall, with a couple higher and lower. Keys: #100 Orr (Nr/Mt due solely to centering), 130 Orr AS (Ex-Mt), 155 Dryden (20/80 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt), 161 Cherry RC (Ex+), 168 McDonald RC (Nr/Mt-Mt), 180 Salming RC (Nr/Mt due mostly to color toning), 195 Potvin RC (Nr/Mt+), 200 P. Missing Islanders and NHL Logo for completion of sticker set. 3) 1975-1976 Complete Set (330): Condition is43% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, 41% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 16% Vg to Vg-Ex. Keys: #35 Dryden (Ex-Mt), 100 Orr (Ex), 126 Lafleur (Vg-Ex), and 199 Gillies RC (Ex). 4) 1976-1977 Complete Set (264) Plus Complete Insert Set (22): Condition of the base set is 62% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (mostly Nr/Mt due to slight bowing), 30% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 8% Vg to Vg-Ex. Condition of the Glossy insert set ranges from Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (averaging Nr/Mt). Keys: #115 Trottier RC (Ex+) and 213 Orr (Ex due solely to print defect on reverse). 5) 1977-1978 Complete Set (264) Plus Complete Glossy Insert Set (22): Condition of the base set is 24% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, 64% Ex to Ex-Mt (including some due solely to centering), and 12% Vg to Vg-Ex (including 3% Gd). Condition of the Glossy insert set (square-cornered version) is 75% Nr/Mt or better and 25% lesser (ranging from Vg-Ex to Ex-Mt). Keys: #105 Trottier (Ex) and 251 Orr (85/15 T/B, otherwise Nr/Mt-Mt). 6) 1978-1979 Complete Set (264): Condition is 49% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, 41% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 10% Vg to Vg-Ex. Key: #1 Bossy HL (Vg), 50 Dryden (Nr/Mt), 115 Bossy RC (Nr/Mt-Mt), and 168 Wilson RC (Ex due to centering). 7) 1979-1980 Complete Set (263/264) Plus Near-Complete Helmet and Decals Insert Set (17/21) Plus Five Variations: Missing #18 Gretzky for completion. Condition of the base set is 50% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt and 50% Ex to Ex-Mt (including 3% slightly lesser). Condition of the inserts ranges from Vg-Ex to Nr/Mt (averaging Ex/Ex-Mt). Keys: #150 Dryden (Nr/Mt), 175 Howe (Nr/Mt+), 185 Hull (Nr/Mt), 230 Bossy (Ex-Mt due to centering), and 261 1979-80 Entries (Ex+).
