Four uncut sheets and one nine-card panel from the classic 1928 W565 strip-card issue, highlighted by Lou Gehrig and several stars of sport and film. Sheet 1: Uncut sheet of 25 cards with three Hall of Fame baseball players in the bottom row, featuring Lou Gehrig, Tony Lazzeri, and Al Simmons. The balance of the sheet features cards of actors and two boxers. Gehrig is situated second in from the right and is technically Gd with a light stain at the bottom edge. The sheet is overall Poor condition due a number of obvious condition flaws, including being glued to a backing, the upper-right corner missing, a few small edge tears, and minor stains. 7 x 10.5 inches. Sheets 2 and 3: Two uncut sheets, each with 25 cards, with Hall of Famer Harry Heilmann in the bottom row. The balance of the sheets includes cards of famous actors (including Charlie Chaplin) and three boxers. The sheets are missing corners, have light creases, edge chipping, and minor stains.
