Description

Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. This is the only example graded at this level by PSA with just two higher. Outstanding example of Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig from the W590 strip-card series. This series of 43 different Major Leaguers was originally part of a larger multisport set which is cataloged as W580, and which also included movie stars, boxers, and other various athletes. Gehrig is pictured smiling as a member of the New York Yankees. The hand-cut card has a crisp image with an ideal contrast. The blank reverse is clean. A tremendous example of one of Lou Gehrig's classic 1920s strip cards and a card that was issued during his rookie era.
