Description
Hardcover first edition of The Pittsburgh Pirates by Fredrick Lieb (G.P. Putnam's Sons, New York, 1948), signed by Honus Wagner and Stan Rojek in blue ink on the inside flyleaf. The salutation "Best Wishes" is penned above their signatures. This book was one of 16 commissioned by G.P. Putnam's in the 1940s and 1950s, each devoted to the history of a specific franchise. The 298-page book (6 x 8.25 inches) is missing its original dust jacket but is otherwise in Excellent condition overall. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
