Lot # 1741: High-Grade 1971 Topps Super Complete Set (63)

Presented is a complete 63-card 1971 Topps Super set, highlighted by many Hall of Famers and stars including Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, and Roberto Clemente. Condition is 69% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt and 31% Ex to Ex-Mt (including some due to centering, a few slightly lesser, and one with a slight miscut). Keys: #20 Rose (Nr/Mt+), 37 Clemente (Nr/Mt+), 38 Jackson (Nr/Mt), 44 Aaron (Ex due to gum stain), and 56 Mays (Vg/Vg-Ex). Because of their high-quality production values and scarcity relative to other Topps sets of the era, it is a little surprising that this issue has not received more attention from collectors, but this is primarily because for many years grading companies did not have holders for this large-format issue. This is no longer the case, and collectors can now build sets of these cards in graded form just like they've done for many years with standard-sized cards. A very attractive high-grade complete set with several notable highlights. Total: 63 cards.
