Ticket stub issued for Game 1 of the 1955 World Series between the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Dodgers at Yankee Stadium. One of the most memorable moments from that historic series was when Jackie Robinson stole home during Game 1. Robinson's successful steal took place in the eighth inning, with the Dodgers trailing by two runs. Yogi Berra always insisted that Robinson was out on this play, and plate umpire Bill Summers' safe call elicited one of the most animated disputes in Berra's long career. Despite Robinson's heroics, the Yankees held on to win 6-5. The ticket stub (4.25 x 2.25 inches), which is for a "Lower Stand Box" seat, is in Very Good condition overall.
