Graded VG 3 by SGC. Very attractive E254 Colgan’s Chips card of Pittsburgh Pirates Hall of Famer Honus Wagner (curved-letters variation). This is one of Wagner's most striking cards, from one of the era's most unusual and interesting sets. This card is also noteworthy as it features the same Carl Horner portrait that appears on Wagner's famous T206 card. Crisp and clean with light wear along the edges. The advertisement along the reverse is boldly printed. Downgraded largely due to a light crease on the left edge (most visible from the back). Wagner is one of the key stars of the set. He has an even greater significance to this set as he was also a spokesman for Colgan’s, allowing his likeness to be used in advertising and promotional materials. This is a very appealing example.
