Description

Presented is a very attractive complete set of 1960 Leaf cards, including both variations of #25 Jim Grant for a total of 145 cards. Each card has been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA. Leaf packaged these glossy black-and-white cards with marbles in an attempt to navigate contract terms with players, which dictated that only Topps could issue cards of modern ballplayers with bubble gum. PSA Grading Composite: MINT 9 (18 cards): #8, 35, 51, 55, 67, 76 (MC), 97, 99, 100, 103, 104, 112, 113, 118 (ST), 121, 129, 130, and 139. NM-MT+ 8.5 (7 cards): #25a Grant/white cap, 37 Snider, 56, 79, 120, 128 Cepeda, and 140. NM-MT 8 (82 cards): Including #1 Aparicio, 27 B. Robinson, 69 Wilhelm, 94 Baseball’s Two Hal Smiths, 110 (ST), 137 (MC), 141 Flood, and 144 Bunning. NM 7 (26 cards): #4, 5, 6, 14, 17, 18, 22, 23, 25b Grant/dark cap, 28, 30, 38, 43, 44, 49, 54, 61, 64, 65, 68, 71 Herzog, 73, 78, 125 Anderson, 132, and 135. EX-MT 6 (10 cards): #7, 20, 32, 36, 41, 50, 59, 72, 90, and 143. EX 5 (2 cards): #107 and 134. One of the era’s most unusual and interesting issues! The total SMR value for the individual cards is $4,745. Total: 145 cards (set of 144 plus one variation). The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
