Description

Presented is an extremely rare and fascinating complete set of twenty 1960 Bell Brand Los Angeles Dodgers cards, highlighted by Hall of Famers Sandy Koufax, Duke Snider, and Walt Alston. This very scarce set featuring Dodgers players was issued regionally only in the Los Angeles area, and captures the team just as it was poised to dominate the National League in the early to mid-1960s. One card was packaged in a thin cellophane wrapper with a bag of Bell Brand Potato Chips. As a result of the product with which they were packaged, grease stains and creases are common with this issue. Condition 70% Vg to Vg-Ex (including a few Ex) and 30% lesser (including one with color added). Keys: #2 Snider (Pr), 9 Koufax (Vg-Ex), 18 Alston (Vg-Ex), and 20 Wills (90/10 T/B, otherwise Ex). This is a very attractive and mostly mid-grade complete set of these scarce and desirable regional cards. Total: 20 cards.
