Description
Original photo of Babe Ruth during his last public appearance on July 26, 1948, at the New York City premiere of the film The Babe Ruth Story. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. Ruth, who is pictured here accompanied by his wife, Claire, passed away three weeks later from lung cancer. The reverse bears the original paper news caption and an "International News Photos" credit stamp. The photo (6.75 x 8.5 inches) exhibits scattered creasing, which is largely confined to the borders. Very Good condition overall.
