Description

Vintage photo of Babe Ruth at the plate in a swing-through pose. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type IV photograph by PSA/DNA. The image, from the 1920s, captures Ruth during his stint with the New York Yankees. The reverse bears several stamps (including three "Brown Brothers" credit stamps) and editorial notations. It is interesting to note that this particular image on the offered photo was used in the production of Ruth's 1923 Willard's Chocolate card. Photos used in the production of trading cards have become increasingly popular in recent years. The photo (8 x 10 inches) exhibits scattered creasing and multiple edge tears. Fair condition overall.
